Jeremy J. Blum is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at Penn State Harrisburg (PSH).

His research interests falls broadly within the areas of computer security and the inter-disciplinary area of Intelligent Transportation Systems. Within the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems, he has a dual focus on the scalability and security aspects of vehicular wireless communication and agent-based optimization of computationally intractable transportation network problems. Most recently, through a collaboration with the electric power industry, he has begun research on the computer security in critical infrastructure other than the transportation sector.

Dr. Nonna Sorokina is a passionate teacher/scholar in the finance and quantitative fields. She is an Assistant Professor at Penn State University. Prior to joining Penn State, Dr. Sorokina taught at Kent State University, Wake Forest University, and TCNJ. Her primary teaching interests extend to the area of Corporate Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, and Quantitative Analysis. A commitment to life-long intellectual growth largely defines her teaching philosophy. Dr. Sorokina emphasizes practicality of the discipline and routinely prompts students to relate courses’ content to real world situations during regular discussions of current economic events and business initiatives. Frequent assessments and continuous grading feedback keep students aware at all times of their current course progress and additional effort required for a successful course completion. Dr. Sorokina devotes significant time and utmost attention to her interaction with students. Productive co-operation between students and a professor is a cornerstone of learning success and Dr. Sorokina diligently fulfills her role in this partnership.

His research interests fall broadly within the areas of Design and Manufacturing, Manufacturing, Sensors and Controls, Dynamic systems and control, intelligent systems, smart manufacturing, multi-agent systems, applied artificial intelligence, industrial automation, cyber-physical systems, and robotics.

Dr.Stephanie Buechler joined Penn State in July 2021 as an Associate Research Professor in Ag Sciences Global working with GEARE (Gender Equity in Agricultural Research and Education) and with Extension, including the Globalizing Extension, Innovation Network (GEIN) initiative.  Previously, she was an Associate Research Professor in Geography and the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy at the University of Arizona and prior to that, Research Scientist with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in Mexico and India and project manager with Caritas in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She has lived, worked and conducted applied research in Latin America, South Asia and the SW and NE U.S.  Her work explores the intersections of gender, environmental change and agriculture (including urban agriculture) and gender, renewable energy and agriculture.
